Today’s prompt was to write about an argument that starts in bed. I’m not in a particularly argue-y place at the moment so this came out instead:
“i told you i didn’t want to fight anymore”
“i know”
“and here we are fighting”
“i know, and you know full well why we’re fighting”
“me?! YOU started it”
“i retaliated”
“you instigated!”
“well, you were putting the pillows in their cases and it just seemed like the right time”
“for a pillow fight? you’re 45”
“you’re only as old as your pillows feel”
