I’ve done a lot of work with long exposure stuff to take the cool product shots over at iscotch.ca. Those are typically static subjects where I draw with light in the background to… I dunno.. add dynamism or customize the way the light lands on the bottles. Glass, whisky and light.
So I’m trying to branch out a bit, moving away from the largely product-showcasing long exposure photos I’ve been doing while taking those skills to do other things. This was an attempt at that. The outcome does largely look like a vomit of light but if you look closer, the smoke trails in the wind look pretty cool. Next time out there will be more fireworks and I won’t be launching them from the wooden fire escape by my bedroom.
